This page explains what this website stores in your browser, why, and how to change or withdraw your consent. RIPPLE is a research project based at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), and as a CBS project it is bound by the same data protection rules as the rest of the institution, even though this site is separate from cbs.dk and run independently of it. See CBS's own cookie policy for how those same rules apply across the institution as a whole.

Who is responsible for your data
This website is run by the RIPPLE project at Copenhagen Business School (CBS). The data controller is CBS, represented by the project's principal investigator, Kristian Roed Nielsen. Questions about this policy or about your data go to krn.msc@cbs.dk.

What we store
What we store, and why
We use the same four categories as CBS's cookie policy. The cookie bar below lets you accept, reject, or choose them individually.

Technical detail
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no ordinary HTTP cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser
is localStorage — a different storage mechanism with the same purpose.
The consent rules in the GDPR and the Danish Cookie Order apply equally to both: any
storage of, or access to, information on your device, regardless of the technique,
requires consent unless it's strictly necessary for a service you've explicitly
requested.
The language choice is exactly that: information you provide yourself, stored to avoid asking again. We still ask for consent to it anyway, in keeping with CBS's own practice and for the sake of transparency.
Server logs
IP addresses in server logs
Once the site is hosted, the web server it runs on will, as an entirely ordinary part of running any website, record visitors' IP addresses in technical access logs — for security and troubleshooting. This is not a cookie and is not covered by the Cookie Order's consent requirement; it rests on legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Third parties
Third parties
This website currently uses no third-party analytics, marketing or tracking, no externally hosted fonts, and no content hosted anywhere but CBS itself. If that changes — for instance by embedding the promotional video mentioned under Output & dissemination — we will update this policy and ask for consent to the Marketing category before anything loads.
Your rights
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right at any time to: access the data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased; restrict processing; object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. Write to krn.msc@cbs.dk to exercise any of these rights.
You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, datatilsynet.dk, if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.
